      穿山甲（英文名：Chinese pangolin，学名Manis pentadactyla）国家一级保护动物，为鳞甲目，鳞鲤科，地栖性哺乳动物，体形狭长，全身有鳞甲，四肢粗短，尾扁平而长，背面略隆起，多生活亚热带的落叶森林的山麓地带草丛中或丘陵杂灌丛较潮湿的地方挖穴而居，昼伏夜出，遇敌时则蜷缩成球状。以食蚁及其幼虫、蜜蜂、胡蜂和其它昆虫幼虫为食。

      Pangolin is a national first-class protected animal, belonging to the family Cyprinidae and order Cyprinidae. It is a terrestrial mammal with a narrow and long body, thick and short limbs, a flat and long tail, and a slightly raised back. It often lives in damp areas of subtropical deciduous forests or hills, burrowing and dwelling. It emerges day and night and curls up into a ball when encountering enemies. Feeding on ants and their larvae, bees, wasps, and other insect larvae.
