Animal Science Popularization in Xianju National Park - Rasse

      小灵猫是国家一级保护动物，属于灵猫科、小灵猫属。多在晚上或清晨活动，白天则躲在树洞或石洞中休息。除了会吃老鼠、昆虫、青蛙、鸟类外，偶尔也会吃水果。它有擦香的习性，外出活动时，常将香囊中的分泌物涂擦在树干、石壁等突出的物体上用来标记自己的领地和引诱异性灵猫。在遇到敌害时，小灵猫能从肛门腺中排出一种黄色而奇臭的分泌物，用以自卫。

      The Rasse is a national first-class protected animal, belonging to the family of spirit cats and the genus Little Spirit Cat. Activities are often carried out at night or in the early morning, while during the day, they rest in tree or stone caves. In addition to eating mice, insects, frogs, and birds, they also occasionally eat fruits. It has a habit of rubbing incense. When going out for activities, it often smears the secretions from the sachet onto protruding objects such as tree trunks and stone walls to mark its territory and lure the opposite sex civet. When encountering enemies, the little civet can excrete a yellow and foul smelling secretion from its anal gland for self-defense.
